Remembering Cesar Chavez Breakfast at The Mexican Heritage Center and Gallery brings over two hundred people and is one of our most successful events each year. Every year this breakfast in honor of Cesar Chavez continues to grow and is enjoyed by all. We bring mariachis from Cesar Chavez High School and/or the Fremont School Mariachis to entertain the attendees. Our annual Remembering Cesar Chavez Breakfast is held to honor civil rights and farm labor leader Cesar Chavez and usually takes place at the end of March at the Mexican Heritage Center & Gallery. A diverse group of 200 plus people usually attend the breakfast in downtown Stockton. This yearly breakfast is in keeping with the mission of the Mexican Heritage and Gallery which is to educate and to promote art and culture to current and future generations. This breakfast is one of three fundraising events the MHC&G has throughout the year to raise funds to keep its doors open to the public. Monthly art exhibits, and cultural celebrations take place throughout the year.
The Mexican Heritage Center & Gallery continues to enrich the community with art, culture, and educational programs. Dedicated artists, educators, and interested members of the community volunteer their time, and work together to educate the public of the rich tradition, heritage and culture.
